Golden Crusts – Golden Crown Panaderia has been a Downtown institution for green-chile-cheese bread, biscochitos and specialty bread sculptures for more than three decades(read more about the bakery on the following page’s “Moveable Feast” feature), but did you know that the bakery now doubles as a pizzeria? The shop recently began serving Buffalo wings and “bakery-style” pizzas several weeks back. I got the chance to gnaw off one corner of someone’s personal pizza, and I liked what I tasted. It had hot melted cheddar cheese and a tasty, puffed up crust – though, to be honest, I’m still not entirely sure what the classic definition of “bakery-style” pizza is. Do you?
