As requested by many of you. I have created this option so you can choose the dontion amount for the projects happending at the bakery.   So far 43 have been ordered just 257 more to go. Once we hit 300 shirts pre- ordred we will let you know when you can get your shirt or we will mail it to you if you can't come by.

I have to share something very important to me. And it has to do with all of you.

For the past few weeks, my father has not been at the bakery. He has been with my grandmother, who became very ill. If you know my father, it takes something very big for him to leave the bakery. My father has said never to air your private matters in public, but today, I am. Because each and every one of you have spoken over the years about how we can improve the bakery's atmosphere.

I took what everyone said and put it into motion as a surprise for my father. He has put 39 years of his life into this business. All the improvements that he has talked about since 1984 are now under way. Many of the improvements have been done by you!! So many people have donated their time to painting the bakery, offering suggestions for colors, and have spent many hours helping with other projects. A lot of people don't know how this has been financed. It has been financed by direct sales from the register. It has been financed by my tax refund and my personal paycheck and it continues to be financed by our customers - those who haven’t had the ability to put in physical time have donated money to the project. It has been financed by everyone who wants to see the bakery continue to be a part of the neighborhood by either donating materials, time, or money, or simply letting us know that they want to see improvement. 

The challenge I face today is lighting up the parking lot. My lifelong life friend, Jesse, has volunteered to do the electrical. I found some really cool lights for $109.00 each. We need a total of 6 lights. I am hoping sales from T-shirts and turkey bread sculptures and gift cards can help cover the cost. Two days ago I decided to create a plaque for my dad - a picture of everyone who has been a part of the project. Once the project is done, I will post photos on Facebook.Today I am humbled by everyone's support. The emotional support has been the most meaningful for me. I can't say thank you enough for making my father’s dream come true.
